Ojai is such a magical place with its unique and diverse terrain. From it’s many hiking trails that can accommodate every level of hiker, to its easy access to Lake Casitas and the Pacific Ocean.
It is truly awesome to hike one of the many mountain trails that look out over the Ojai Valley to the Pacific Ocean and see the Channel Islands floating like clouds on the horizon. The thrill of coming upon deer, bear, or maybe
even mountain lion tracks and even catching a glimpse of one of those magnificent creatures. Here is a place where a wide variety of birds and reptiles can be found in abundance.
I look forward to sharing some of these adventures with you and will regularly update the dates and difficulty level of upcoming hikes along with a brief description in the goojai blog
KAYAKING
I grew up with a love of the water. Whether it be gliding on top, moving through, or underneath. Kayaking is a great way to glide along the surface as you are treated to the many wonders of nature. It is also a great upper body and cardio work out. I encourage you to start your kayak training on the lake before attempting the ocean trips.
Gliding through the early morning fog as it rises off the lake, seeing the blue herons in flight or floating above forests of kelp and watching fish swim beneath you kayaking can open a whole new world for you. Check the goojai blog for up coming events.
